Work Experience- part 2

Going to the aquatic center was a great experience and i think it helped me choose what career I want to do. Working in the different areas of the center was really good because i didn't really want to get stuck in the one place doing the same thing the whole time i was there.

Wednesday was probably the best day because i was in the pool all day, the down side was all of the kids I worked with were well behaved so i didn't get to drown anyone.

The day I liked the least was the day i had to work with 3yr olds. Thursday, I absolutely hated those little snotty nosed kids. They were loud, smelly and really really annoying! One even started throwing cards at me and left me to pick them up. I was glad to finish early that day.

Friday, last day of work experience. This day I had to  help in the health club, witch is a gym, then help the life guards with making sure people 'don't' drown, and to finish off the day I was in administration sorting paper work. And throughout all of these I was trying to make time go faster so I could go home.

And that was the end of my week of work. Apart from the kids I had a really good time, and learnt a lot about what people do in the center. Overall I was very happy with my choice of work place.

  1. Thanks Taine, sounds like your work was varied. I also find younger kids challenging to work with, secondary students are easier to get along with. Sometimes being able to identify what you don't like is as helpful as identifying what you do enjoy. Do you have any idea what sort of course you would need to do to get into this type of work?
